1950s Kay Banjo. Five-String. Made in Chicago

Well, I have an old Kay banjo for sale. Kay was a huge string instrument maker in Chicago back in the 1900s. This one is from the late 1950s, or maybe early 1960s, back during the first big folk music revival. The prior owner played it in college, when the Kingston Trio were big. It has a regular 11" hide head and 27-1/2" scale length. It's in good playing condition. And it comes with his homemade yarn strap. There's no logo badge on it, but it definitely has a Kay wave-style headstock logo. There's a professionally repaired crack on the top edge of the headstock, above the tuners. There's a professionally repaired crack on the bass side of the neck heel. There's a chip at the edge on the end of the fretboard between the 22nd fret and the pot. It has newer strings on it and is ready to go.
